Marty Stanford is a supervisory special agent within the Office of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). He began his career 31 years ago as a U.S. Customs Inspector, became a U.S Customs Special Agent in 1991, and moved to his present position with the formation of the Department of Homeland Security in 2003. During the years he served as a special agent he investigated all matters within the jurisdiction of the Customs Service and HSI. He specialized in commercial fraud, public corruption and child pornography investigations.
As a group supervisor, Marty Stanford has supervised investigations regarding human smuggling, human trafficking, human rights and war crimes violations, contraband smuggling, financial fraud, money laundering, asset forfeiture and traditional Customs commercial fraud.
Group Supervisor Stanford presently manages the commercial trade and IPR fraud group and the Trade Enforcement Coordination Center at the Peace Bridge Port of Entry, Buffalo, New York.
